Game Rewind: Cubs at Mets (07.31.1966)

In a pitching duel at Shea Stadium, Bob Shaw and the New York Mets beat Bill Hands and the Chicago Cubs, 2-1.

The Mets scratched out a pair of runs against Hands, one in the fifth inning and another in the sixth inning, Chuck Hiller plated the first Mets run with an RBI double. New York tacked on a second run an inning later when Ed Kranepool tripled and came home on a Cleon Jones single.

The Mets legendary trio of Bob Murphy, Lindsey Nelson and Ralph Kiner provide the play-by-play on this 1966 Mets Rewind.
